We REALLY get to know our clients!
  • Our clients realize that they really need our help – not simply someone to sell them insurance
  • Underwriters who set rates give the most discounts to those risks that they feel the most comfortable with, this requires really getting to know a risk. Most agents only ask questions that are needed for the application to get a quote. Not us; we ask questions to determine first what is needed and second to make sure we can create a “feeding frenzy” of insurance companies wanting to give maximum discounts in their pricing
  • No two risks are the same – we custom tailor every solution for the needs of each unique client taking into consideration things like risk tolerance, financial strength, future plans, and unique beliefs/wishes of our clients)
  • We strive to provide services well beyond what is typical of an insurance agent. In order to do this, we need to know what is important to our clients and provide value in any area we can (so our clients can be the very best they can be!)
  • Finally, we consider our clients “friends.” In most all instances, our clients are pursuing a vision for themselves similar to ours. Friends know each other and trust each other. You can’t develop trust without getting to know each other.
We ask lots of questions (and questions other brokers don’t think to ask)
  • Because many agents are simply concerned with selling policies, often the questions go not much further than what is needed for a quote
  • Because we are concerned about a relationship, only selling coverage that is needed, and getting the best price for that coverage (see “feeding frenzy”), we ask a lot of questions
  • Most of our business clients see us an important member of their internal executive team (just not having to pay a huge salary for what we provide.) As such, we need to know where o clients business is going and what makes our clients different from their peers/competitors

We ALWAYS put the client first when approaching insurance companies and NEVER sell one insurance company’s product over another solely based on commission

We think outside of the box whenever possible to find better solutions for our clients
  • We have the knowledge and skill set to analyze risk – this means that some risks are better either eliminated or managed internally without insurance
  • Our goal in every situation is to help the client spend the least amount possible to manage its risks (not sell insurance)
  • When insurance is necessary, we work hard to determine the most cost effective way of covering what needs to be covered, including layering coverage when it makes sense
    • For example, several years ago, we saved one client over $40,000 per year by layering flood insurance coverage when other insurance people and loan representatives said it couldn’t be done. This client has now saved over $120,000 and wished they had been working with me several years earlier.
We assist with risk management and loss control so that claims are minimized and unrealized exposures are addressed before they become a problem (this is especially true for contractors and other businesses that sign business contracts)
  • Our services in this area are invaluable to our clients as we have discussed solutions to problems that were never previously known
  • All businesses need risk management and loss control advice and help and many do not have the financial resources to pay someone internally to do the job
  • We assist clients in setting up programs that will work for them and provide guidance and help they need
  • Further, we have saved clients tens of thousands of dollars in OSHA violations by assisting with minimizing exposures
  • In relationship to businesses that sign contracts, we review any/all contracts for our insureds and advise where there are insurance/indemnification problems. When corrected prior to the contract being signed, we can help save enormous problems in the future. Over 90% of the contracts we review have serious problems that need to be fixed to protect our insured. In most cases, we do not charge any extra fees for this service but save our clients thousands of dollars.
