How You Look to the Insurance Company Changes Everything
The absolute number one thing any individual or business can do to save money on insurance is to make sure that entity looks the best it can to insurance companies who will be offering coverage. Unfortunately, very few people spend any significant time on this and worse yet, many agents do a poor job of assisting their clients in this area.
Because we want to help people and businesses be the very best they can be, we offer a free, no-obligation service to businesses who simply want to know how they are doing. IMPORTANT: this is NOT a quote and we are not interested in simply quoting insurance. However, this is a “report card” of sorts that will help the business evaluate how it looks to the insurance companies who will quote insurance pricing and what needs to be done to improve it. Simply put, if a business looks like a B- risk, it will not get A+ pricing. However, with guidance, many businesses can implement risk management techniques or other business practices (often at little to no additional cost) that will dramatically affect pricing.
To provide you a very simple and tiny example of what I’m talking about, consider for yourself how one part of your grade for Business Auto Insurance is by answering only a few of many questions that could be asked and that underwriters who determine commercial auto insurance premiums are concerned about. Note: if your current broker has not asked these questions, you can assume the underwriters assume the answer to each of these is NO and it’s impacting how you look to the insurance company. Please note that while we can do this evaluation of where you are at any time, the best time to do this is just AFTER you have renewed your coverage or at least 6 months before your next renewal. This allows a business plenty of time to make any changes/adjustments necessary before the next insurance renewal so that premium can be saved. When was the last time you had an insurance professional desire to talk to you right after you renewed coverage? Likely never.
